MOGAMI's digital cable 3080 is optimised for the transmission of digital audio signals according to the AES/EBU standard. Perfectly suited for the Dolby Digital 5.1 standard. It is also suitable as a lighting cable with DMX connection. The required impedance of 110 ohms is guaranteed with a tolerance of only ±5%. It was developed to be both robust and flexible and is therefore particularly suitable for professional environments such as stage or studio.
The capacity of the cable is even smaller than that of analogue cables. The Mogami 3080 AES/EBU has OFC copper conductors with a cross-section of 0.18 mm² with XLPE polyethylene insulation and a double copper shield. The outer sheath is made of flexible PVC. The 3080 contains a pair of wires in a twisted shield and an additional earth wire.
The recommended maximum length of the 3080 cable is 150 m.

All MOGAMI 110W AES/EBU digital audio cables are flexible and practically configurable. Many variations are available, from normal to long distance applications, from single core to 12 core types, internal wiring and interconnect applications. Strict tolerance control of impedance within ±5% up to ±10% at maximum.
